Hemp Seed Oil products and its benefits
Hemp Seed Oil
Over the past few years, there has been an influx of cannabis-based beauty products in the United States’ market due to its perceived benefits. In particular, hemp oil has been a volume seller in health and food stores across the country. The decriminalization and legalization of medical marijuana in numerous states have created even greater enthusiasm in the global consumer market. Since hemp oil is from the cannabis (marijuana) family, the major concern for consumers is the risk of getting high or becoming addicted by using the products. The advertisement on hemp oil claims that there is very little risk of getting high because the oil comes from food-grain strains of hemp. This essay will analyze this claim, its premises, and the conclusion. The main thesis is that hemp seed oil from the hemp plant presents very little risk of intoxication, thereby making this argument deductive.
Premise One
The first premise in the advert is that hemp oil is different from cannabidiol (CBD) oil. CBD oil is usually produced from the stalks, flowers, and leaves of the hemp plant. Scientific research shows that the flowers, leaves, and stalks contain a higher concentration of CBD and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC),which is known to cause the so-called “high”. In contrast, hemp oil is extracted from the small seeds of the plant that do not contain the high levels of compounds associated with highness. Its benefits are very enticing. Based on the advert, hemp seeds have a rich profile of fatty acids, nutrients, and useful bioactive compounds. Therefore, the side effects of hemp oil are completely different from the side effects of CBD oil. The advert claims that the side effects would be almost non-existent because of the low concentration of THC compound (0.3%). Of course, another implication is that hemp oil is completely legal because of the low concentration of THC.
Premise Two
The second premise is that the high quantity of beneficial fatty acids and vitamins make it an excellent health product. The oil that comes from the seeds contains plant matter that helps with issues such as inflammation. The fatty acids and vitamins keep the skin healthy and reduce breakouts. Applying the oil strengthens the skin and makes it better at resisting infections. Another study conducted in 2014 found that the same fatty acids found in the oil are also present in flaxseed oil and fish oils. The human brain ideally requires loots of healthful fats to function properly. The fact that hemp oil is rich in these fats makes it an excellent product for the brain. The healthy fats in the oil are said to minimize the risk of cardiovascular diseases making it good for the heart also.
Conclusion
Hemp oil is different from cannabidiol (CBD) oil, which has a higher concentration of THC that is known to cause highness and other side effects. Hemp oil also contains high quantities of beneficial fatty acids and vitamins, making it an excellent product for the skin, heart, and brain. I, therefore, accept the argument that hemp oil presents very little risk of intoxication. People need to use hemp oil and reap itsadvantages. In fact, the numerous benefits associated with its use make it a “super compound” since no other item has so many uses yet so few side effects.
